That Reminds Me (Part 4)

My First Florida Vacation
In just one night there was more excitement than in the rest of the time

Well this time the flight was pretty good, Orlando Airport is a really neat airport, even if it looks something from Miami Vice. Anyway so we got our rental car and headed for our friends condo that was in a small little town on the Atlantic called Palm Coast. Well actually we stayed in another part of it called something that I can't remember. Anyway it is kind of tucked away there is only one easy way to get to it and that is to take a toll bridge, so if you wanted to go to Wal-Mart or any major food joint you had to travel a good 30 minutes into the city of Palm Coast. Also the set of condos we stayed at there were three of them one was the orignal "Surf Club 1" then the next one "Surf Club 2" and the newest and not quite finished "Surf Club 3" which is the one was stayed at, it was at the very end of the city water line, which means no pressure, try going poop and flushing with no pressure.

Well my two sisters Melanie and Chrissy had gotten there first because, Chrissy was moving back from South Carolina and she stopped by he house to help in the packing and they drove from there to the condo so they got there a day ahead of us. Well being on a plane all day and then in a car makes one a bit cramped and when I seen them out on the beach I ran out there, of course I changed. Well it turned out that right where we went out it was all rock bellow and so we all got our legs and feet cut up, we the next day discovered that if we moved a few feet in either direction that it was all sand. Back to the story so anyway nothing really exciting happend, my parents went to Wal-Mart, which was like an hour and a half trip. Well they got back and all my nieces except the oldest were in bed, well my mom had bought some popcorn and so we decided to pop some popcorn. Now our friend had specifically told us not to accedentally set off the fire alarm because the sprinklers dropped some much water at a time.

One bag popped fine, then we made another bag, big mistake, well we thought at the time. It was perfect timing, as soon as the microwave dinged, the smoke detectors went off. Now let me just tell you I'm glad that they followed all the building codes when they built that place, because they had a smoke detector in everyroom and it was so high pitched bouncing off walls and what not that you had to leave. At first we thought it was us, but luckly it wasn't the whole building was going off, it is kind of cool to see a 7 story building with the fire alarm going off, it sounds wierd, but it was kind of cool. Anyway some people went done to the ground, they appeared to have been sleeping and so they thought there was a fire and went to the ground.

30 minutes later the fire department arrived, now apparently it used to take up to an hour to get the fire department there, the had just built a new station. Well me and my nosiness wanted to know what was going on so, me and my sister Melissa ventured to the bottom, we came out from the parking garage below the building and went to find out what was going on. We talked to a few of the people and it pretty much came down to that there was a fault in the system which triggered it to go off. Now to define "Fault" for you it could have been, a bad sensor, loss of pressure in the sprinkler system.

Well that was our excitement, except for seeing the dolphins toying with some people on the beach and the big bug that flew into my moms head.

I will post some pictures from it if I can locate them.

Stay Abnormal :)
